I am a Specialist Rural Generalist at Praxis Medical, with special interests in chronic disease management, aged health, immunology and allergies. I am also a GP anaesthetist, caring for patients across the clinic, the emergency department and theatre at Warren Health Service, and I teach with the Rural Clinical School.

I grew up in rural community and I was the first doctor in my family. I chose general practice because it lets me help across the whole range of what people bring through the door, and rural generalism because it lets me follow the same patient through the whole system, from the clinic to the hospital and back into the community. It also means more care can happen here, so fewer people have to travel for it.

I am at my best with long-term conditions: diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma and emphysema, thyroid and coeliac disease, and the patient whose medication list has grown longer than it needs to be. I will take the time to explain what is going on and what your medications are doing, set out how we will measure it, and then decide on the plan together.
