In order to stay on top of these changes and adapt accordingly, it’s important to be in touch with a trusted medical professional.     What senior health services do we offer?

    At Praxis Medical, we offer a variety of services that focus on the needs of patients as they move into later life. We help patients 75 or older to keep track of their health, make necessary changes, and help them get whatever support they need.

    • Senior health check (age 75+)

      We offer annual health checks to seniors over 75 years of age. This helps them to stay on top of their health and continue to live active, healthy, independent lives for longer. The assessment is multifaceted, looking at cognitive factors like memory, physical factors like mobility, and examining the medication they are taking to get an overall idea of their wellbeing. For convenience, this check can also be tied into someone’s drivers licence renewal medical.

    • Lifestyle management

      We are able to provide helpful guidance to our older patients, giving them the right advice to maintain a healthy lifestyle, keep your independence, and reduce potential health risks. This includes recommendations for diet, exercise, and activities to engage in, and referrals to allied health professionals who can offer additional support to continue living life the way you want.

    • Aged care assessment

      If someone feels it is time for them to start utilising aged care services, we are able to help by providing them with an assessment. We help our patients through the process of applying and determine which aged care services they are eligible for with their current circumstances.

    • Small procedures

      When you’re dealing with a less involved health issue, we can help save you a visit to the hospital. Praxis Medical is able to carry out minor procedures for our elderly patients to provide them with a more convenient option.
