Dr Paul
Hi, I’m Dr Paul Griffiths, and I will be your doctor. Not just for today, but for you and your family’s lives. My colleagues and I founded Praxis Medical to move away from short-term care and return to the good old rural doctor approach of long-term, multigenerational care. Raised in Collie and with exceptional training opportunities in the southwest, I now specialise in rural medicine with anaesthesia. Having lived and worked locally for almost a decade, I am now unofficially specialised in “Manjimup Medicine”. I’m a true generalist ready to treat any problem you present and can connect you with a trusted network of specialists when needed. I have a particular interest in lifestyle medicine and non-judgemental medical weight management. Having personally needed weight-loss surgery in 2014, I blend professional knowledge with lived experience to partner with you on your journey. I have completed additional training to support women in the early stages of pregnancy with a robust antenatal program and provide alternatives if pregnancy isn’t your right option. I’m a handy guy to have at your back so you can rest easy knowing that you and your family have the care you need.

Dr Kayla
Hi, I’m Dr. Kayla Mizzi. I’m excited to be your family’s go-to doctor and to co-found Praxis Medical with Dr Paul, bringing reliable, high-quality healthcare to our region. I moved to the southwest in 2017 and found my way to Manjimup nearly two years ago with my young family. Since then, I’ve been passionate about making sure our community has access to the kind of healthcare that really listens and responds. My areas of special interest are children’s health, women’s health, and chronic disease management—I love helping little ones stay healthy, supporting women through all life’s stages, and helping manage ongoing health conditions that need that extra bit of attention. As a rural GP with advanced skills in child health, I’m here to offer comprehensive, empathetic care. Whether it’s a routine check-up or something more complex, I’m here to support you and your family every step of the way.

Hello! I’m Dr. Jo, and I’m thrilled to be part of your healthcare journey here at Praxis Medical. As an all-rounder GP with a keen interest in minor surgery and skin cancer surgery, I bring a wealth of experience from urgent care clinics, disease management and various surgical departments in UK hospitals. My time as a COVID GP at Royal Perth Hospital and working with the Tuberculosis Programme at Royal Darwin Hospital have enriched my medical practice with diverse and critical care experiences.
Since moving to Australia from the UK in 2018, I’ve embraced life in Manjimup with my young family. I previously worked at Manjimup General Practice and Ruby Medical in Bridgetown. I’m especially excited about rekindling healthcare relationships with the Manjimup community and looking forward to establishing new ones here at Praxis Medical.
